Born in Brazil and raised in Chicago, singer-songwriter Carla Hassett draws
on a rich musical background to create an original pop-rock sound.
Carla's
critically acclaimed and award winning songs feature her skilled and
passionate voice which has appeared along side many recording artists,
icluding Billy Idol, Gino Vannelli, Sergio Mendez, REO Speedwagon,
Christopher Cross, Xuxa, John Anderson, Christian Castro, Joy Enriquez, Juan Gabriel, Thomas Dolby, and X-files composer Mark Snow who won an Emmy nomination for an original song sung by Carla.
Carla has recorded for Disney in the Spanish and Brazilian markets as well as countless national commercials, television shows, and feature films throughout the world. In the Brazilian market, Carla contributed vocals for Abril Music recording artists Marcelo Augusto and Javier.
Composing credits include "Teu Olhar," featured prominently on Brazil's SBT network soap Amor E Odio. Carla shares a spot on the showıs soundtrack with some of Brazilıs most revered recording artists. She was also the lyricist for the Brazilian Disney channel jingle. Composing credits in the American market include the "Sword Of Honor" soundtrack and commercials for McDonalds, Wendy's, Bud Lite, Busch Gardens, and Carl's Jr.
