A few group photos before the show... and before the temps soared to the mid 90's. Another pic before we start sweating! A group shot before the show in front of the big guitar and piano right by The Marcus Amphitheater. Before the show~ Summerfest has more than a dozen different stages during it's 11 day festival. This year we were thrilled to be booked at the Cascio Groove Garage. Cascio Music Store is the biggest music store in Wisconsin. Dan Johnston tuning up before the show. Al Arber setting up before the show. The beautiful Kira Small and Julie Moffitt :) The guys start out the show with "Signed, Sealed, Delivered", featuring the band plus Matt & Dan Johnston. Great job guys! He's an excellent guitar player, singer, songwriter and all around nice guy... Dan Johnston! Julie Moffitt is the first featured chick of the show. She sang her cool original "Movin' On" and "Black Velvet" for her first set. That top wanted to fall down all afternoon, but Julie did a good job of keeping it in place. Great pic of Julie! She sounds great and looks great. Kira Small sings some stellar backups for Julie on "Black Velvet". Leah Jee rocks out with her catchy original "You Follow"..great job! Leah is an excellent guitar player and this is a cute picture! Leah jamming with Kostia and Al in the background. Rhonda Begos sings "Fallin'" with Carmen Nickerson on flawless backups. This sounded fantastic! Rhonda singing from her soul! Ellen Winters singing "Don't Change Horses". This was great...Giddyup!! Carmen Nickerson and Jenny Thiel with tight backup vocals. Dan Johnston wailing on his guitar solo. Carmen and Jenny having some fun...love this picture :) Ellen Winters! He's a fantastic drummer...Al Arber! The very photogenic Al Arber. Ellen also sang an original "Be With You" during the first set. Great job! He's a brilliant Russian pianist, Narada recording artist and wonderful man... Kostia Efimov! Lynne Rasbornik did a killer version of "Give Me One Reason". Great job! Lynne wailing while Matt Johnston adds some cool acoustic guitar. Lynne and the band jammin out. Jayme Dawicki singing her catchy original "72 1/2 Toyota Truck". Great photo of her! Alaria and Anna singing backups for Jayme...really like this song! Great job Jayme! Beautiful! Jayme is a classically trained piano player. Alaria Taylor, CSN director, plays a couple originals from her new CD: "Bread or Water" and "Since You Been Gone"... nice! Alaria's hubby, Jeff manning the video camera. Carmen Nickerson! Tamara Anderson! Tamara sings "Uninvited" and Jenny Thiel provides killer backups. Great job! Kira Small did an acoustic set during intermission...excellent! Anna Bohn waiting to go onstage. Anna wails on "Edge of Seventeen". Great backups by Julie, Carmen and Alaria! The beautiful Jenny Thiel sings "Same Love That Made Me Laugh" and "I Got The Music In Me". Beautiful voice too! Jenny Thiel! Rhonda and Ellen sang great backups on "I Got The Music In Me". Matt and Dan Johnston "are they men enough?" artists. Matt did "Pedestal" with cool harmonies by brother Dan. Dan sang "I Hope You Don't Mind" with a little help from brother Matt. Yes...they were men enough! Alaria comes back to wail on her original "Nobody Else Like You". Jeanna Salzer sings her cool original "Give It Up"! Jeanna played piano with the band, gorgeous voice! Jeanna after her performance, Anna Bohn giving her a pat on the back. Anna comes back to sing "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree"... perfect! Ellen, Julie and Alaria help out on "Black Horse"... love that song! Our show was broadcast on WMSE radio with hosts Maria Cadenas and Jennifer Curtis. We love WMSE and the Female Focus show! Our soundman: Nick Rogneby. Great job Nick! Kira Small comes back to do a set with the full band. Excellent job! Lisa Medill and her hubby working the merchandise table. Rhonda wails on "Feelin' Good". The closer: Rhonda Begos wailed on "Respect" with Carmen, Ellen and Alaria on backups.
